Shark Steam And Scrub Mop
FAQ
What surfaces can I use the mop on?
It is designed for all sealed hard floor surfaces. However, do not use it on leather, wax-polished furniture, synthetic fabrics, velvet, unsealed wood, or unglazed ceramic floors.
Can I use the steam mop on carpets?
No, the steam mop is not intended for carpet cleaning.
Can I add cleaning solutions or vinegar to the water tank?
No. Do not add cleaning solutions, vinegar, scented perfumes, or oils. Using anything other than water can damage the mop and make it unsafe.
Do I need to vacuum before mopping?
Yes, it is recommended to sweep or vacuum your floors prior to using the steam mop.
What kind of water should I use?
While tap water is fine, it is highly recommended to use distilled water, especially if you live in a hard-water area.
How do I wash the cleaning pads?
Machine-wash the Dirt Grip™ or Dusting pads separately with warm water and liquid detergent. Never use bleach, powdered detergent, or fabric softeners.
How often should I replace the pads?
For best results, replace the pads every 3 to 4 months.
How do I store the mop?
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool. Empty the water tank before storing and never leave the mop with damp pads on any floor surface.
What are the different steam settings?
Light: For delicate surfaces and light cleaning.
Normal: For everyday cleaning and moderate traffic areas.
Deep: For tough messes, heavy traffic areas, and sanitising.
How do I sanitise my floors?
Attach clean pads, select the Deep setting, and wait 30 seconds for steam. Move the unit slowly over the area at least 8 times while applying downward pressure.
Why isn't the mop producing steam?
Ensure the unit is plugged in, the water tank is full, and you have selected a steam setting via the mode button. Note that if the handle is not reclined, the pads will not spin and steam may not engage.
Why is the mop wobbling or vibrating?
This usually means the pads are not centered on the rotating discs. Turn the unit off, let it cool, and reinstall the pads correctly.
What if the mop turns off on its own?
The unit may have overheated. Unplug it, remove the pads, and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before restarting.
